Our alerts are getting unruly, and we need better ways to sort and filter them.I propose tags or folders or categories so we can group them.We need to filter them by division, grade, recipient, alert type, etc.It would also be helpful to have a title and description, so we’d know what the alert is for.Even though we can see the details now, there’s too much information to skim through all of the alerts.

The Attendance Team would like to receive a notification whenever a teacher edits a pass so we know when attendance may need to be updated. Teachers sometimes edit passes by mistake, and because we cannot disable the ability for teachers to edit passes, we need a way to know when a change has been made. This notification would allow us to quickly identify and correct any attendance errors resulting from an accidental edit.

We would like the ability to add the coures type of Dorms to the SIS group filter. This would allow for filters for roaming dorm staff who are not assinged to a dorm.

Staff members who are listed as available endorsers receive an email every time a student requests a pass and selects them as the endorser. These emails are sent even when the staff member has disabled all email notifications in their personal notification settings.For staff managing a large number of students and passes, this can result in dozens of emails per hour and makes it difficult to manage their inbox while teaching.Requested improvement: Add a notification setting that allows staff to remain available as an endorser and continue using the My Endorsements list, while independently disabling email notifications for individual endorsement requests.Ideally, staff should be able to:<ul><li>Remain on the school's endorsement list.</li><li>Continue appearing as an available endorser to students.</li><li>Continue using My Endorsements to find and manage their students' passes.</li><li>Turn off email notifications for endorsement requests without being removed as an endorser.</li></ul>Why this matters: The current workaround is to remove the staff member from the endorsement list, but that prevents students from selecting them as an endorser. For staff who rely on the endorsement list to manage passes, this is not a viable solution.

We are not able to alphabetize by last name on the Attendance or Passes page.

Right now you can edit the text of the email sent to students, but you cannot edit the subject line or reply email (Orah <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="link" href="mailto:no-reply@orah.com">no-reply@orah.com</a>). These two features would be a great addition.

When a new pass is about to be added, add a verification step that checks to see if the time overlaps an existing pass. This way, we don’t end up with passes being cancelled, or field trip passes being added to absent students. There should be a pop-up that says “This pass overlaps with existing passes. Students affected: [include checkboxes, and show photos, names, and current pass]. Uncheck students to exclude from new pass. Continue. Cancel.”

We often make updates to SIS groups and calendars, but it takes more than 10-15 minutes to sync. Please add filter or parameters so we can only sync changed info, not the whole dataset.

We would like to modify the subject line for automated attendance alerts sent to parents. The current subject is -- "This student has been marked Absent for day 1 time in total today". We often see cases where a student is initially marked absent but then arrives late, and the teacher hasn't yet updated the status to "Tardy". To prevent unnecessary parental concern, we'd like to edit the subject line, something along the lines of "Attendance Update: [Student Name] marked absent or tardy. Is this possible?The issue here is that the subject line is alarming for some parents and often times the student is actually at school and something else is going one - a teacher did not update attendance for example when the student arrived to school tardy. These false alerts are received by parents and it creates an alarm and concern that is high. Imagine if you thought you dropped your kid off and then got an email from the school that the student was not there. The issue is that the parent might freak out before they read the body of the email, which happens with some regularity.

I’d highly suggest there’s an “Are you sure” prompt option after the Exit Roll/Discard Roll options because I accidentally discarded a roll and I had to spend unnecessary time redoing it.

For “X times in a row” attendance concerns, Orah evaluates a student’s most recent attendance records rather than consecutive calendar days. I need to also be able to have an alert that evaluates based on consecutive calendar days.

Currently the ‘O’ to access Orah help is in the bottom right corner. I work primarily with a split screen so everytime I have to submit/reschedule/edit a pass the O is right on top of the ‘activate’ button. Could you either have the O be dismissed or move it please?

What would be amazing is say you stock ibuprofen as on of the OTC medicine in the Medications section, I’d like to be able to add students to that medication that are allergic and cannot be given it. One amazing feature you could add to Orah, would be class seating charts. Teachers would be able to build seating charts for each course in their schedule. They could manually place student photos to seats in a seating chart, or have the system randomly assign seats. THEN, the teacher could use the seating chart to take class attendance. Our current SIS lets us do this. As we transition to Orah for attendance, many of our teachers have provided feedback that Orah is missing this feature.

Orah app developers must not live in the real world, where the vast majority of apps put photo uploads first. Doctors still print out school excuses, and it’s much quicker to “Take Photo” than to open the Camera app, take a photo, save it, send it to files, and then upload the file.
