ability to create attendance alerts based on course type

we would like to send parents attendance alerts for academic classes but not sports or programs, etc

Describe the impact on your school if this problem remains unsolved?
we want to notify parents of absences/tardies for academic classes only and it is more difficult to set it up at this moment
