Allow Gating for One (or More!) Areas

We would love for a location(s) to be gated for a student. (For example: if a student is hurt and not allowed to go to Open Gym - we would love to gate that student for the Gym only - instead of totally gating the student).

Only gate certain areas so they can still put in passes or go to different locations (study hall, ect).

Describe the impact on your school if this problem remains unsolved?
We use a pastoral note icon on the student - but to not allow them to check in to that location would be more helpful.
Please list any other tools or platforms that you know of that offer similar functionality.
We use a pastoral note now to "gate" a student from certain locations
