Attendance Policy isn't fully working for us

Right now, there are two options for the Daily Status Calculation for Daily Attendance — either “First scheduled class only” or “All Classes throughout the day”. For our middle and upper school, we originally selected “First scheduled class only”, but we noticed that if a student was marked absent for their first class, then their daily status also became absent, regardless of whether the student showed up later. In this case, we would want the student have a Daily Status of TARDY. We do not want them to have absent.

So, then we switched to “All Classes throughout the day”. However, this also doesn’t fully work for us. Because, if a student is marked absent for a later class in the day, now they are listed in “Early Departure” status, even if they are marked present for the next class.

Is there any way that we can fix this? At the end of the day, if a student is on campus, we need to have it say PRESENT.
