House/Dorm assignment hidden option

We would like the ability to either hide dorm assignments from students and parents or schedule when they can be published.

The House/Dorm appears in the Students profile on the student app and the parent app and the desktop - even though we have not published the dorm assignments to students and parents yet in OnCampus.

We are a Blackbaud integrated school and we would like to have some time to enter dorm assignments and make changes within Blackbaud before they are published to students and families.

I can't remove the house/dorm and room number fields from the student sync as a temporary work-around.

Please let me know if there is a way to hide this or a workaround. Thanks.

Publishing dorm assignments before they are finalized creates unnecessary confusion and anxiety for students and parents. When preliminary assignments become visible, families often assume they are final and begin contacting the school to request roommate or dorm changes based on information that is still being reviewed. This results in support requests for issues that may resolve naturally as the assignment process is completed. The ability to hide dorm assignments until they are finalized, or to schedule a publication date, would allow schools to communicate accurate information at the appropriate time. This reduces unnecessary inquiries, prevents avoidable stress for families, and enables staff to complete the housing process without interruptions caused by premature visibility of incomplete data.
Please list any other tools or platforms that you know of that offer similar functionality.
Blackbaud allows us to set different dorm information publication dates for different user groups.
