We have noticed instances where a student may have an excuse on record, however, teachers miss taking attendance. What ends up happening is that, in Orah, the student has an excuse record but no class roll record, and therefore, the actual absence is not counted in the numbers in Orah. It is as if the student is "Not Expected". However, in Veracross, the class is still logged, even though attendance was not taken, and the absence excuse is also recorded. This means that our absence numbers are higher in Veracross than in Orah. We would really like the numbers to match. Is it possible to somehow update how these instances are counted in Orah?
In summary:
In Orah: If a teacher misses taking attendance, but the student has an excuse on record, Orah treats the student as "Not Expected" rather than recording an absence.
In Veracross: The class is logged regardless of whether the roll was completed. This results in the absence/excuse being counted in Veracross but not in Orah, leading to higher absence totals in Veracross.
