Medication expiration date tracking in inventory

What problem would this new feature help your school solve?
Is there a way to document a medication's expiration date on the medication catalog/inventory. This would be useful for us to monitor expiration dates of various meds within our dormitories to know when they need to be updated. A system that allowed this as well as an alert would be ideal!
