Pass Issued Notification for Staff, Parents, and Students

Problem:
Schools currently have no way to automatically notify relevant stakeholders when a pass has been provided to a student. While pass workflows support approvals and other actions, there is no notification trigger for the moment a pass is issued or becomes active.

Requested Enhancement:
Add the ability to send automated notifications when a pass is provided to a student.

Notification recipients should be configurable and could include:

• Specific staff members (e.g. Attendance Managers, Boarding Staff)

• The student

• Parents/Contacts

Notification methods could include:

• Email

• Push notification

• SMS (where enabled)

Use Case:
A school would like medical passes to automatically notify 2–3 attendance managers and the student's parents when the pass has been issued. This would ensure all relevant parties are aware that the student has been granted permission and improve communication between attendance staff, boarding staff, students, and families.

Expected Outcome:
Administrators can configure pass-issued notifications within the pass setup or workflow configuration, selecting recipients and delivery methods based on their school's requirements.
