New Feature
Coming soon
Students can now request and manage a Hall Pass right at an automated attendance kiosk. Scan in, choose Hall Pass, and the pass is created with a scheduled end time — no staff member needed to issue it. The kiosk shows the pass status in real time, including a late flag if a student runs past their return time.
When a student scans in more than 15 seconds after their last check-in, the kiosk offers a Hall Pass option. Selecting it shows the pass name, its rules, and its end time — only the location can be changed — and tapping Create Pass issues it on the spot. Scanning again at the kiosk ends the pass. You can also build a dedicated Hall Pass template: choose who's allowed to create it, whether it's available from automated attendance kiosks, and set the reason, location, and notes fields students fill in. Pass duration rules let you decide when a pass automatically ends, with a live example that updates as you adjust the setting.
A student can request a hall pass, show where they're headed, and close it out again — all at the kiosk they're already scanning at, without pulling a staff member away to issue one. Staff still keep full visibility: the kiosk flags any pass running late, so a missed return doesn't go unnoticed. And because the pass rules and duration are set centrally, every hall pass follows the same policy automatically.
